The Why

When I first started taking photographs, I located myself in a common place among photographers. I sought to represent the subject or the moment. Over time, my experience changed. I became more aware of my surroundings and the separation that existed between the image and the subject photographed.
There was no reality, only broken-down representation of my
experience with any given subject. I needed to express my relationship, both physically and emotionally, with what I photographed. I started to make art that related to my obsession with pattern, repetition and continuity.
